Thanks to recent changes to Australia’s stringent import laws, the Ferrari LaFerrari can be legally driven on Australian roads from 2019 onwards. The LaFerrari now falls under the “rarity criteria” which means that vehicles that were produced in limited numbers – 100-3000 units globally – are now eligible to be imported and registered.
Presented in Rosso Corsa (of course), this LaFerrari was delivered new to Rome in 2015 before being shipped more than 16,000km to Australia in 2016. Since then, it has resided in the private collection of Tony Denny alongside more than 30 different models of Ferrari at the Gosford Classic Car Museum. Visitors to the Gosford Classic Car Museum car see the Ferrari LaFerrari alongside the Ferrari F40, Ferrari F50 and Ferrari Enzo that all reside in Denny’s Ferrari collection.
The LaFerrari debuted at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show before stunning motoring journalists around the world who unanimously decided it was Maranello’s greatest achievement. From there, the LaFerrari was pegged against the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder for the title of the most desirable and capable hypercar that money could buy.
The successor to the legendary Ferrari Enzo, the LaFerrari features a 6.3-litre V12 that, combined with a KERS battery system and electric motor, produce an ungodly 708kW of power and 900Nm of torque. The LaFerrari will catapult itself to 100km/h in 2.8-seconds and go on to a top speed of 350km/h.
With just 189km on the clock, this is the lowest mileage Ferrari LaFerrari currently for sale anywhere in the world. As you would expect, the car comes fully documented with all factory books, leather wallet, spare keys and the factory car cover.
If Enzo prices are anything to go by (and they are), then the LaFerrari will continue to rapidly appreciate in value over the coming years. Service and maintenance will be terrifying and you’ll be reluctant to drive or park it anywhere. But that shouldn’t stop prospective customers with deep pockets who are looking for ultimate bragging rights. The LaFerrari is quite simply the rarest and most desirable hypercar for sale in Australia today.
