Gosford Classic Car Museum Lamborghini

Spanning four generations from the original Lamborghini supercar, The Miura, through to the beastly Murcielago, Tony Denny’s collection of modern and classic Lamborghini’s is astonishing. Perhaps one of the most telling signs that you’re in the midst of one of the world’s most incredible car collections is the fact that; not one, but two, show-stopping Lamborghini Countach’s sit inconspicuously in a row of exotic hyper cars generating little attention from visitors.

With 12 Lamborghini’s on display, Gosford Classic Car Museum offers a complete history of the Legendary Italian supercar maker spanning more than half a century. We’ve put together a list of some of our favourite examples that showcase the incredible breadth of Denny’s collection.

1968 Lamborghini Miura

The car that changed it all, the incredible Lamborghini Miura. When Feruccio Lamborghini unveiled the Miura at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966 it sent the automotive world into a frenzy. Prior to the Muira, Lamborghini focused its efforts on creating contented grand tourers that were engrossed in achieving superior driver comfort- not driver enjoyment.

The Miura was a secret project of Lamborghini engineers that was conceived after work hours against the wishes of Feruccio Lamborghini who believed that it detracted from the core values of the brand. More than fifty years since its inception, the legendary mid-engine 3.9L V12 changed the course of supercars forever.

This Verde Green 1968 Miura is rightfully displayed alongside the Ferrari LaFerrari as one of the most stirring cars in Denny’s collection.

1988 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary

The celebratory 25th Anniversary edition Countach was originally intended to be sold in limited quantities as a final swansong for one of the most celebrated hypercars of all time, however, buyer demand meant the 25th anniversary edition eventually became the most popular version of the Countach with more than 600 units sold globally. With a production span of 17 years, the Countach remains one of Lamborghini’s longest enduring hypercars.

Featuring a brutal 5.2L V12 producing 339kW/489Nm and 0-100km/h time of just 4.7sec, the Lamborghini Countach was well and truly ahead of its time in 1985. More than thirty years after it rolled off the production line, the Countach is still genuinely fast and has lost none of its attention commanding charm.
