LaFerrari Spider Revealed

Ferrari have revealed the first images of the eagerly anticipated convertible LaFerrari. Reserved for the most discerning of supercar owners who like to feel the breeze through their hair, or, as is often the case with Ferrari’s most exclusive models, on their scalp.

Ferrari are remaining tight lipped about how many of the raucous drop-top LaFerrari Spider they will be making, however, for those with pockets deep enough to warrant delving into the question, it doesn’t matter, every model is accounted for and the order books have already closed.

3The LaFerrari Spider will feature the same 6.3L V12, coupled with a 120W electric motor to produce identical power figures to the hardtop version; 588kW of power and 708Nm of torque. Coupled with a seven-speed dual clutch gear box, the LaFerrari coupe covers the 0-100km/h sprint in 2.8sec.

Buyers will be given the option of a carbon-fibre hardtop or a removable soft top. According to Ferrari, notwithstanding a slight weight deficit, the Spider will retain the same performance figures as the coupe.

2As you would expect, Ferrari didn’t simply remove the roof and take some snaps. The press release stated that: “significant and extensive modifications have been made to the chassis with the aim of retaining the same torsional rigidity and beam stiffness as the coupé version.”

Price, production numbers and an official name will all be revealed at next months Paris Motorshow.
