Video: Audi RS3 Sedan Testing at the Nurburgring

The eagerly anticipated 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan has been filmed undergoing testing at the arduous Nurburgring in Germany.

Audi are yet to confirm the specifications and pricing for the RS3 Sedan, however, if this video is anything to go by, it seems that Audi isn’t prepared to take a back seat to the freshly updated 280kW/475Nm Mercedes Benz AMG CLA45. The video captures the RS3 Sedan in full flight, kissing the apex through the Nurburgring’s many technical corners and carrying enormous speed onto the straights.

The Audi RS3 Sedan is expected to make its global debut as early as next month at the 2016 Paris Motorshow, with a mid-2017 arrival date for Australian buyers looking increasingly likely.

Power for the RS3 Sedan will be derived from Audi’s legendary 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine. It is unknown if Audi will stick with the 270kW/465Nm power output figures from the Audi RS3 hatchback, or opt for the same 294kW/480Nm tune from the new Audi TTRS that is capable of sprinting to 100km/h in just 3.7sec.

The Audi RS3 Sedan could be one of the most capable cars that the German manufacturer has ever built. With an expected price tag of $85,000 in Australia, slightly more than the $78,990 hatchback, the RS3 Sedan is set to be one of the fastest sedans on the road.
