The newest member of the Aston Martin family, the 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante has been teased with three new images of a lightly disguised car released by the British car manufacturer.
Scheduled for launch in mid-2018, the pictured Aston Martin DB11 Volante prototype will join the coupe at the top of the Aston Martin family.
Opting on the side of tradition, Aston Martin will forego a more practical metal folding roof in favour of a traditional fabric roof.
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante will be powered by the same 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine as its hard top sibling, capable of producing 447kW of power and 700Nm of torque, the DB11 Volante will accelerate to 100km/h in less than four seconds.
In a report to Autocar UK, a spokesperson for the British manufacturer said that Aston Martin is aiming to match the 0-100km/h time of its hard top sibling.
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante will form an important component of the British manufacturers next generation of supercars that will attempt to bridge the widening gap to their German and Italian supercar rivals.
