With fully forged internals from the factory, Audi’s heavily detuned 2.7L twin-turbo engine is extremely robust and capable of handling more than double the quoted engine output.

With 195kW/400Nm and a 0-100km/h time of 5.8sec, this modest B5 S4 wagon will out sprint a Porsche Carrera from the same year. With a simple tune, exhaust and intake, the all-wheel-drive B5 S4 will be in the vicinity of 280kW of engine power and capable of scarring much newer, more expensive cars.

This unmodified, Brilliant Blue S4 is one of only a few examples currently on the market that remain in stock condition. With an abundance of aftermarket modifications available for Audi’s 2.7L twin-turbo engine, this S4 can be retained in stock guise or modified with an ECU tune and high-flow down pipe that will unleash its untapped potential.
