Australia’s Most Expensive Car: Koenigsegg CCX

Australia’s sole Koenigsegg CCX is on the market for an eye-watering $2,500,000. For those who have spent some time on car classifieds, you’ll know that this isn’t a new listing; in fact, it’s been on the market for more than a year. When you consider the asking price, you could understand that prospective buyers may be reluctant to shell out the same amount of coin that could net you a new Lamborghini Aventador LP-400 and still have enough change left over for an inner city apartment in Sydney, for a Swedish alternative. But then again, if you’re sort of person who has $2.5M lying around, you’re probably not swayed by the thought of a lowly inner city dwelling.

The Koenigsegg rose to infamy in 2007 when The Stig lost control at more than 200km/h when trying to record a hot lap on the Top Gear circuit.
