In a series of celebrations set to rival Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday, Lamborghini have revealed a special edition homage to the godfather of the V12 supercar, the Miura.
Just fifty units of the Aventador Miura Homage Edition will be made and offered in selected markets around the world. Unfortunately for cashed up buyers looking to own a piece of Lamborghini history, nearly all of the cars have already been snapped up by the Italian manufacturers most valued customers.
Fifty years on from the car that changed the trajectory of Feruccio Lamborghini’s humble automotive project, Lamborghini have released a hyper-limited Aventador named in honour of the Miura. based on the standard LP700-4, the Aventador Miura Homage will be offered in six different colour combinations that all trace back to the original Miura.
Utilising the same 6.5L V12 engine from the LP700-4 means 515kW of power and 690Nm of torque. Thanks to a brilliant launch control system and all-wheel drive grip, the Aventador will scream to 100km/h in 2.9sec and keep on going all the way to 350km/h.
In addition to a long list of eagerly anticipated limited edition supercars such as the Mercedes AMG GT R, the Aventador Miura Homage Edition will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK at some point in the next week.
