McLaren Senna Hits the Used Car Market for $2.25 Million

Want to get your hands on a McLaren Senna but weren’t lucky enough to secure one directly from the Woking factory?

Fear not, this delivery mileage McLaren Senna has already hit the second-hand market — and the price isn’t as ridiculous as you would expect.

Currently for sale by Knight International in the UK for a cool £1.25 million ($2.25-million AUD), this RHD example features more than £100,000 worth of options.

For reference, this Senna would have cost the original buyer roughly £850,000. The quick resell is won’t endear the buyer to McLaren and will likely see them blacklisted from future limited-edition McLaren purchases.

As with the rest of the 499 examples that were built by McLaren, this example features a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 588kW and 800Nm of torque delivered to the wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The McLaren Senna tips the scales at just 1198kg and is capable of accelerating to 100km/h in 2.7sec and onto a top speed of more than 340km/h.

While there are a number of dealers offering “buy slots” of the McLaren Senna, this is the first known example to be offered for sale on the second-hand market. The 50% mark-up in price sets a precedent for other Senna owners who are thinking about flipping the car for a profit.
