2017 Porsche Panamera Pricing and Specs Revealed

After months of spy photos, speculation and even online leak of photos prior to its official launch, the second generation Porsche Panamera has officially been unveiled– and it is gorgeous. Despite cultivating record sales figures for the German manufacturer, the outgoing Panamera was subject to widespread scrutiny and condemnation from Porsche Purists.

low_panamera_turbo_2016_porsche_ag (1)A long list of tech and interior upgrades is headlined by the addition of a 12.3inch Porsche Communication Management infotainment system and two 7.0inch displays on either side of the analogue tachometer. Tech minded buyers will be pleased to know the Panamera now features online navigation, language recognition and Apple CarPlay technology.

low_panamera_turbo_2016_porsche_ag (4)To begin with, the Panamera will be offered in three guises; a Petrol 4S, Diesel 4S and a range topping Turbo- although this will be superseded in price and power by an incoming Turbo S down the track. All variants will be equipped with Porsche’s dual clutch eight-speed PDK transmission and the choice of optional or standard all-wheel-drive.

Equipped with the optional sport chrono pack the 4S will accelerate to 100km/h in 4.2sec and sip as little as 8.2L/100km on a combined cycle.

Powered by a new 4.0L twin-turbo diesel, the Panamera 4S diesel produces 310kW of power at 3500RPM and an incredible 850Nm of torque from just 1000RPM. When you add the optional sports chrono package to the equation, the diesel 4S will accelerate to 100km/h in just 4.3sec and sip 6.8L/100km.

low_panamera_turbo_2016_porsche_agUntil the addition of the Turbo S down the track, the $376,100 4.0L twin-turbo V8 Panamera Turbo is the most powerful variant in the range. Producing 404kW/770Nm, the sports chrono equipped model will accelerate to 100km/h in just 3.6sec- significantly faster than the sporty 991.2 Carrera 4S and sip 9.4L/100km.
