Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Spitfire

Is this the coolest Aston Martin ever made?

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Spitfire- yes, Spitfire, pays homage to the legendary British warplane, the Supermarine Spitfire, that took to the skies 80 years ago to help the British forces during World War 2.

Just eight examples of the V12 Vantage S Spitfire will be made and all of them will be sold exclusively through Aston Martin Cambridge. Each example will be finished in Duxford Green colour with yellow pinstripes- the same colour as the Supermarine Spitfire from which the Aston draws styling inspiration.

2Further exclusive features of the Spitfire include a carbon fibre rear diffuser, a distinctive front diffuser and, of course, ‘Spitfire 80’ carefully embroidered throughout the cabin to remind the driver that they aren’t just driving a ‘regular’ V12 Vantage S.

3Under the bonnet, the Spitfire remains unchanged from the V12 Vantage S on which it is based. The 5.9L V12 engine produces 421kW/620Nm- propelling the Aston to 100km/h in 3.9sec and onto a top speed of 330km/h.

4Priced at “around £180,000”, the Spitfire is £40,000 dearer than the V12 Vantage S that it shares its bodywork and engine with. As a further privilege, those lucky enough to land one of the eight models available, will take delivery of their Aston at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. Buyers can take solace in knowing that an undisclosed amount from each sale will be donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
