Hottest Mini Ever Revealed

Mini has lifted the lid on a limited production Mini John Cooper Works Challenge- a track ready hot hatch that you can drive everyday on the street.

The limited production run will include 100 units that are sadly all bound for the UK. The Limited edition model, which will make its debut at the famed Goodwood Festival of Speed, features a reworked version of the standard 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine from the JWC Mini to produce 170kW/306Nm and propel the car to 100km/h in 6.3sec.

mini-challenge-060The JCW Challenge draws inspiration from the current Mini Challenge racing car and is distinguishable from the standard JCW car by increasingly flared wheel arches, larger front air intakes, rear spoiler and exclusive 18inch allow wheels. Unfortunately for prospective JCW Challenge owners, these distinguising features are all available as an optional extra on the standard car as part of the JCW Pro Accessories pack.

mini-challenge-062UK suspension specialists Nitron provide coilover suspension for the JCW Challenge car that can be adjusted by the owner for road or track use. The Challenge also benefits from the addition of an automatic Quaife limited-slip differential to make sure that no power is lost through unnecessary wheel spin.
