After months of speculation and test-car teasers, the wraps have been lifted on the second generation Porsche Panamera after photos were leaked online overnight.
With less than a week until the official unveiling of the Porsche Panamera, images surfaced online of Porsche’s new super-saloon in showroom ready condition.
From the front, the Panamera remains virtually unchanged from its predecessor, it’s not until you admire the new car from the rear that you start to get a sense that Porsche may be onto a winner with this one. Whilst the first generation was criticised for its Kim Kardashian like rear end, the new Panamera is a sleek and purposeful sportback that looks to have taken visual cues from Audi’s brilliant RS7.
Porsche will confirm power figures for the new, eagerly anticipated 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine at its official launch on the 28th of June. The range topping V8 will be joined by a more sedate twin-turbo V6 as well as diesel and hybrid engine options.
The second generation Panamera will be offered in five-door and wagon variants with hints that there may even be a two-door, BMW M6 style, grand-tourer added to the line-up down the track.
Porsche Australia are set to commence orders in the next month with deliveries not likely to commence until mid-2017.
