A 2014 Nero DS Opaco Ferrari LaFerrari has sold for $6.9million AUD ($4.7million USD) at the Mecum Auctions sale during Monterey Car Week.
One of only three Nero DS Opaco Ferrari LaFerrari’s from the factory, the 2014 spec LaFerrari exceeded its pre-auction estimate of $6million AUD- a far cry from their original asking price of $2million when new.
With only 499 of the exclusive hyper car produced in a limited production run between 2013-2014, the LaFerrari was sold exclusively to Ferrari’s most important and influential customers.
The sale price is a new record price for the Italian manufacturers fastest, most expensive hypercar ever made. Featuring a 6.3L V12 and a KERS battery system with an electric motor, the Ferrari LaFerrari dispenses an unbelievable 708kW of power and 900Nm of torque and accelerates to 100km/h in a mind bending 2.8sec.
Deliveries of the ultra-exclusive, hyper-limited LaFerrari Ferrari Aperta Convertible will kick off at the end of 2016 with resale for the price of the LaFerrari expected to be unaffected.
