Ferrari Enzo for Sale Australia

Whenever a manufacturer names a car after its founder you know you’re in for something rather special — The Ferrari Enzo is no exception to the rule. The successor to the legendary Ferrari F40 and Ferrari F50, the Enzo was an engineering masterpiece that redefined the supercar segment when it hit the market in 2003.

Open the boot lid of the Ferrari Enzo and you’ll find one of the most remarkable engines ever made. 485kW, 5998cc DOHC 65-degree V12 engine with Bosch Mortonic engine management and electronic fuel injection, six-speed electro-hydraulic computer-controlled sequential F1 transmission and limited-slip differential with traction control.

The Ferrari Enzo interior is a somewhat Spartan affair. Inspired by the Ferrari Le Mans prototype, the interior is stripped of anything that might dull the Enzo’s rapid acceleration, as such, there is no radio or carpets and the windows are completely manual, happily, Ferrari didn’t throw out the air conditioning.

In keeping with their mantra of building fewer cars than the market would demand, Ferrari originally planned to build 349 examples of the Enzo, however the 349 failed to satisfy Ferrari’s most exclusive customers — who have a tendency to kick up a stink when things don’t go their way — so a production run was raised to 399. After the completion of the 399th Enzo, Ferrari built a final 400th example for His Holiness Pope John Paul II, sadly, the pope declined the generous gift suggesting that Ferrari sell the car and donate the proceeds to those affected by the 2005 tsunami in Southeast Asia.

This Ferrari Enzo is one of just six silver cars that were delivered from the Maranello factory. With just 4,063km on the clock, it is a collectors dream that will likely appreciate in value as the Enzo future turbocharged iterations of Ferrari Hyper Cars follow in the footsteps of the Ferrari LaFerrari in years to come.  The vehicle currently resides in Tony Denny’s extensive Ferrari collection at the Gosford Classic Car Museum.
